In its relatively short history, The Barbara E. Giordano Foundation has developed, organized, sponsored and completely underwritten many wonderful programs, events and awards. Part of the mission of the Barbara E. Giordano Foundation for Women's Health and Education is to provide support for those women who want to move forward and make life better for themselves and others.

With that as a focus, the Foundation:
PROVIDES an annual DAY OF HEALING for women who live with chronic conditions. This special day allows women opportunities for healing by working with exceptionally gifted practitioners, laughter, community and information that can transform their lives.
PROVIDED college educations for women who were victims of domestic abuse thus enabling them to become financially independent
PROVIDES the cost of state exams for Native American nurses that enabled them to return to their reservations and practice medicine, and thus, improve the quality of life for their community
PROVIDED a series of meditation workshops for oncology nurses that allowed care-givers to be nurtured and supported too
PROVIDED musical programs for hospice patients, their families and staff members that allowed them to share the joy of music and dance
PROVIDES a series of movement and yoga classes for senior citizens who are living on a fixed income which allows them to participate in a wellness program that supports both health and social connections
